BIG Troop Update

Posted on Nov 12 2024 - 10:22am
  • Next meeting Tuesday 11/12 is a Webelos Arrow of Light visit from many local Cub Scout Packs, so please be early, look sharp, act welcoming and contribute to a successful event. The visitors all have choices for which Troop to cross-over to, so we need to impress them to join us!  The SPL Leadership is organizing this for us so if they ask you to help, please do! So far we have Stephanos and Koshal for 2 of the 5 stations.
  • Please attend the SPL Candidate speeches on Tuesday 11/19.  11/19 is also the cutoff date for making the Program for a 12/3 December Court of Honor, otherwise rank and MBs earned after 11/20 will be in the June Court of Honor.
  • The next PLC planning meeting will be 11/26, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. PLs are you preparing?
  • Tuesday 12/3 December Court of Honor (COH) Celebration
    • SPL Elections will be held so please attend the celebration AND vote.
    • During the COH, we will be holding a potluck gathering afterwards organized by Kathryn’s Mom, Mrs Aparna Amoss, as it was so popular in prior years. Please click on the sign-up link below to let us know what you will bring to share. Your contributions will make this gathering even more special. Can’t wait to enjoy great food and company and celebrate our Scouts' accomplishments with you all!

Hiker Direct

Posted on Nov 12 2024 - 10:21am

Please find attached a pdf for the Hiker Direct web site.  This is the Scout discount site for the ALPS Mountaineering gear company.  If you need bags, packs, chairs, sleeping bags, etc.they make good quality gear at great price discounts for scouts.  I have no affiliation to Alps or Hiker Direct except as a client. My son and I used their sleeping bags for Jamboree and our Council scout duffles for Jamboree also came from Hiker Direct.
