Youth Protection Training Requirement for Adults

Posted on Oct 18 2017 - 8:45pm

Effective June 2010, National BSA has mandated that all registered adults within our Troop must have current Youth Protection Training, and as of October 2017 it must be repeated every year. If you don’t take the training, we will be forced to drop you from our National Roster (you will still be on this Troop website) but you will NOT be covered by BSA insurance.

MB Fair - early registration before classes sell out

Posted on Sep 30 2017 - 2:33pm

This is the easiest way to earn a couple Merit Badges; many of these sessions will sell out fast.

We are expecting awesome weather this weekend and it will be a GREAT time to get out and see family, friends and neighbors - and ask them to support scouting!

Community Service

Posted on Sep 21 2017 - 5:22pm

The Stevens Johnson Syndrome has their bi-annual pick up of the items from Brookdale College's New 2 You Sale on Saturday, September 23rd starting at 6pm.  Trevor and Mrs. Kiss would need scout volunteers and their parents cars to meet them at Collins Arena at 6pm to bring the items from Brookdale College to their house, 2 Cherry Hill Road.  You can get hours for National Honor Society and Boy Scouts. Please let either Trevor or Mrs. Kiss know if you can do it.  Thank you in advance for your support.  Thank you to those who already have volunteered.

Naval Academy Trip

Posted on Sep 17 2017 - 3:28pm

This is always a fun trip where you get a tour of the Naval Academy by a midshipman or midshipwoman, followed by the Navy SMU game in the afternoon.  We camp part way to Annapolis at Camp Rodney in Northeast MD in a cabin with a great Franklin stove.  There have been some scouts that stayed in a tent outside that needed camping nights!
